Zusammenfassung:The results of the investigations of radiolysisof polyamides, polyacrylamide and its nitrogen derivatives, polymers of the triazine series and their low molecular analogs are reported. It was detected that the main radical formed during the radiolysis of polyamides is the radical with the formula –CONHĊHCH2—. Arcording to ESR and mass spectrometric investigations, some conclusions on mechanism of transformat ion of radicals are given. In the case of radiolysis of polyacrylamide and its nitrogen derivatives radicals arise as a result of breaking of CH bond of main polymer chain next to the amide group. The paramagnetic particles registered in irradiated polymers of triazine series are assumed to result from the transformation of the triazine cycle.
