Zusammenfassung:This paper describes two approaches for the optimisation of the injection moulding process. The objective of both approaches is to reduce the warpage of the produced part. One approach consists in the thermal optimisation of the injection mould in order to reduce inhomogeneities in the cooling behaviour that greatly impact on the material warpage. In the other approach, an improved mould cavity shape is determined that will lead to a part shape that is closer to the target. The combination of both of these approaches is a powerful tool for the design of injection moulds.
