Zusammenfassung:The effect of the chassis length on the characteristics of the combination of an internal mobile phone antenna and a phone chassis were studied with simulations at 900 MHz and 1800 MHz. The results show that a local increase of SARs and a local decrease of radiation efficiency occur when the bandwidth reaches its maximum. This happens when the resonant frequency of the chassis equals that of the antenna. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
