Zusammenfassung:Mol. Nutr. Food Res. 2023, 67, 202200450 DOI: 10.1002/mnfr.202200450 In article number 2200450, Jiaoyan Ren and co‐workers study cynomolgus monkeys with spontaneous ulcerative colitis (UC) in monkey groups. Subsequently, Hericium erinaceus mycelium polysaccharide is used to supplement UC cynomolgus monkeys. The authors found that such polysaccharide significantly alleviated UC in cynomolgus monkeys and remodeled gut microbiota. More importantly, Hericium erinaceus mycelium polysaccharide also improved UC monkeys' nutritional status, which may relate to relative abundance of Methanobrevibacter smithii in their gut microbiota of a significant increase.
