Administration of syringaresinol could attenuate hyperglycemia‐induced inflammation, fibrosis and oxidative stress and improve cardiac dysfunction. This protective effect might through prevention the invasion of immune cells and suppression of TGF‐β/Smad signaling pathway as well as activation of antioxidant Nrf‐2 system.
