The cover shows the principles of the photochemical introduction of trialkylsilanes on a polystyrene surface. A polystyrene sample is inserted into the reaction chamber and irradiated with a UV light source under trialkylsilane atmosphere after removing all excess oxygen. Reaction progress is monitored by FT‐IR spectroscopy (see graphs A, B and C), XPS and contact angle measurements. The polystyrene surface becomes more hydrophobic after prolonged irradiation, as the contact angle investigations show. Further details can be found in the Full Paper by J. Spanring, C.
