Zusammenfassung: | On the basis of cohesive energy calculations it was predicted that oligoesteramides with a molar ratio of ester/amide units in the molecule of 4:1 will be soluble in styrene, thus enabling to prepare from it unsaturated polyesteramides useful for cold setting, similarly to unsaturated polyesters. The oligoesteramides were prepared by N‐nitrosation of polyamide‐6, degradation of the N‐nitrosoderivative, and esterification of the end‐groups with ethylene glycol and subsequently with maleic anhydride. Reaction conditions are reported as well as the setting of the resin with styrene. |
