Assignment of the forbidden level of the Fermi doublet in the Raman spectrum of CH 2 Br 2
The modified Winther method was used to analyse different assignments of the forbidden level ν f in Fermi resonance with the symmetric CH 2 stretch ν 1 in CH 2 Br 2 . Of a set of five differnt combination levels, three were rejected and two plausible assignments are discussed.
