Zusammenfassung:The effect of the anticonvulsant drug Panparnit on the in vitro oxygen consumption of slices ftom different areas of rat brain was studied. An inhibition resulted which was selective for the cortical slices in lower concentrations. The action of three convulsant drugs on the oxygen metabolism of brain slices was studied; these also produced an inhibition. Possible explanations of this inhibition are discussed.
