Zusammenfassung: | Pralidoxime chloride, commonly known as 2-PAM chloride, has been classified as standard type by the Medical Services, Department of Defense, for use in the therapy of nerve agent casualties. Chemical and physical data, ultraviolet and infrared absorption spectra, identification tests, and acute toxicity data of highly purified pralidoxime chloride are presented; analytical procedures for the quantitative determination of the oxime in blood plasma, feces, and urine are outlined. A safety test, developed for the item to insure the absence of toxic impurities, is given. |
