Besides phenol, resorcinol, quinol, hydroxyquinol, catechol, and to a lesser extend 4‐chloro‐catechol, protocatechuate, p‐cresol, m‐chlorophenol, and p‐chlorophenol were metabolized by the yeast. A total of 30 aromatic compounds were tested as substrates. |
