Zusammenfassung:Total Synthesis of (±)‐Bonellin Dimethyl Ester Bonellin (1) is the green sex‐differentiating pigment of Bonellia viridis, a marine animal widely distributed in the Mediterranean Sea. Bonellin dimethyl ester (rac‐2), has been synthesized from the four monocyclic building blocks 6, 7, 8b, 10 and the selectively cleavable malonic ester 9 by an highly convergent synthetic concept.
