Zusammenfassung:Water level changes at Poyang Lake have great impact of the area of the lakeshore wetlands and landscape spatial pattern. Therefore, the research of the structure, rules, and driving forces for changes of the wetlands have great reference value to the management of Poyang Lake basin. This article first introduce the research methods and date source, including the definition of lakeshore hydro‐fluctuation belt, wetland classification method, interpretation method, and so on Based on remote sensing (RS) and geographic information system (GIS) tools, it analyzes the yearly change rules of landscape spatial pattern and the composition characteristics of lakeshore wetlands. We analyzes the changes in landscape spatial pattern by process the RS images under equivalent water level over a long period from 1985 to 2005, and the natural, social, economic and policy driving forces were also analyzed on a basis of social economic statistics. Results indicate that there is a significant change of spatial pattern in the lakeshore wetlands landscape under an equivalent water level and human activities are the main driving forces for the changes. © 2015 American Institute of Chemical Engineers Environ Prog, 34: 1129–1135, 2015
