Zusammenfassung: | The effect of supporting electrolyte concentration and sample flow rate on the electrochemical behavior of a tubular band microelectrode was studied and compared to the results obtained by simulation. The conditions for the current to be independent of the hydrodynamic flow rate are established. The experimental results are compared to those obtained by digital simulation based on the explicit hopscotch method. These calculated results are also compared to those obtained for microband and infinite planar geometries. It was concluded that this microelectrode very rapidly reaches a stationary state, providing a stable and fast response to concentration changes in the solution, as is required for analytical purposes. |
