Zusammenfassung: | This review demonstrates the comprehensive progress in the preparations and synthetic applications of Si‐containing three membered rings, such as silirane, sila‐aza/‐phospha/‐oxa/‐thia cyclopropanes. The Si‐containing three membered ring systems lack stability, due to the high strain, hence need tremendous efforts for its preparation. However, the enhanced energy makes these rings very useful precursors or intermediates for various stereoselective/non‐stereoselective organic transformations via cleavage of ring in the presence of several nucleophiles/electrophiles.
This review summarizes the comprehensive progress in the preparations and synthetic applications of Si‐containing three membered rings, such as silirane, sila‐aza/‐phospha/‐oxa/‐thia cyclopropanes, which are usually very reactive due to the high strain, that causes difficulties in its synthesis, but are very useful as precursors or intermediates for various stereselective and non‐stereoselective organic transformations. |
