Zusammenfassung:Water solubility and partition‐coefficient measurements have been conducted on already known monobenzoylated octamethylenediamine‐containing branched oligoglycerols. A new oligoglycerol, a hexamer bearing eight primary hydroxy groups, has also been prepared and its properties examined. Water solubility was found to increase in an approximately geometric progression with the number of hydroxy groups and the water solubility of the hexamer derivative was atleast half a million times greater than that of the propanamide derivative.
