Zusammenfassung: | In this paper, the statistical characteristics of Middleton class A impulsive noise are investigated to obtain a receiver that is robust against impulsive radio noise. It is shown that the in‐phase and quadrature phase components of class A impulsive noise are not statistically independent though they are uncorrelated. Then a new receiver design based on the dependence between these components is proposed for class A impulsive noise. Numerical results show that the proposed receiver is quasioptimum and its performance is much better than that of a conventional receiver. |
