Zusammenfassung: | Mining for information on the solid–electrolyte interphase (SEI) on lithium metal electrodes: The Front Cover shows a representation of the method that was developed in the group of Prof. Dr. Martin Winter within the division for Analytics and Environment. In a closed sample environment this treatment of lithium metal electrodes together with a liquid electrolyte of choice enables the constant destruction and (re)formation of the primary SEI resulting in accumulating the formation products and by‐products in the solid, liquid and gaseous phase, allowing to overcome the problem of low abundancy and enabling their qualitative and quantitative analysis by a wide variety of analytical techniques. In this way we want to shed some light on the compound profile of this interphase and make otherwise invisible reactions visible to provide our contribution to the full elucidation of the mysteries behind this interphase.
