Front Cover: Facile, Single‐Step Synthesis of a Series of D‐Ring Ethisterones Substituted with 1,4‐1,2,3‐Triazoles: Preliminary Evaluation of Cytotoxic Activities (ChemMedChem 8/2023)

The Front Cover shows a graphic description of the facile, single‐step syntheses of a series of ethisterone 1,4,1,2,3‐triazole derivatives (X=H, F, Cl, Br, I, O‐Ph‐4‐CH3) with promising anticancer activities. This is complemented by a DNA‐docking‐simulation graphically showing one of these compounds interacting with DNA through crosslink intrastrand π‐alkyl like interactions. Finally, the cover also illustrates the cytotoxic effect on leukemia cells (violet) (K562) from blood where the best compound of the series performed better.
