ChemInform Abstract: High‐Pressure Synthesis and Crystal Structures of the Strontium Oxogallates Sr 2 Ga 2 O 5 and Sr 5 Ga 6 O 14
Single‐crystals of Sr 2 Ga 2 O 5 (I) and Sr 5 Ga 6 O 14 (II) are prepared by reaction of a 2:1 molar mixture of SrCO 3 and Ga 2 O 3 in air (Pt crucible, 1100 °C, 1 d) and subsequent hot‐press annealing (piston‐cylinder apparatus, 1.5 GPa/3.0 GPa, 1000 °C, 72 h).
