Small purple‐green rod‐like crystals of [U(SO 4 ) 2 (H 2 O) 5 ] ·H 2 O (I) are prepared in an electrolytic cell from a solution of UO 3 in H 2 SO 4 (Cu cathode, 5.0 A, 5 h, 98% conversion, yield given in g).
