ChemInform Abstract: Expedient Synthesis of C 3 ‐Symmetric Hexasubstituted Benzenes via Nicholas Reaction/[2 + 2 + 2] Cycloaddition. New Platforms for Molecular Recognition

The new method is based on the Nicholas reaction giving dimer (II) and macrocycle (III) which is further converted into the target compound by decomplexation and [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition under microwave irradiation.
