ChemInform Abstract: A Straightforward Approach Towards α-Amino-β-keto Esters via Acylation of Chelated Amino Acid Ester Enolates

Zinc‐chelated enolates of N‐protected amino acids are found to be efficient nucleophiles in the reaction with a variety of acyl halides to give α‐amino‐β‐keto esters in useful yields.
