ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of a Chiral β-Amino Acid Derivative by a Cobalt-Catalyzed Coupling Reaction

A novel synthetic route for the preparation of enantiopure amino acid derivative (III), a key intermediate in the synthesis of the dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitor sitagliptin, is reported.
