ChemInform Abstract: Highly Diastereoselective Synthesis of Dihydrofurans and Dihydropyrroles via Pyridine Catalyzed Formal [4 + 1] Annulation

In the presence of Fe(Cl4tpp) and pyridine base, α‐ylidene‐β‐diketones and α,β‐unsaturated imines react with diazoacetates to provide the title heterocycles as single diastereomers.
