ChemInform Abstract: Gold(I)-Catalyzed Synthesis of γ-Hydroxyketones from 5-Allyloxy-1-ynes

It is found that treatment of 5‐allyloxy‐1‐ynes with catalytic amounts of Au(I) complex in aqueous solution results in unexpected formation of γ‐hydroxyketones like (II), (IV), and (VI).
