ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of α-Sulfanyl-β-amino Acid Derivatives by Using Nanocrystalline Magnesium Oxide

Nanocrystalline MgO is an effective catalyst for the Mannich‐type reaction of alkyl, aryl, and heterocyclic N‐sulfonyl aldimines with sulfonium salts to afford the title compounds with moderate diastereoselectivities.
