Zusammenfassung: | A “Ukrainian diazoalkane train” arrives at Kyiv station where a new representative of the diazoalkane family is waiting to board. Over the last two decades, several diazoalkanes relevant to medicinal chemistry have been studied extensively by Ukrainian chemists. Now, the synthesis and [3+2] cycloaddition reactions of (diazomethyl)dimethylphosphine oxide (Me₂P(O)CHN₂), a novel diazoalkane reagent, are described for the first time.
