Zusammenfassung:Porphyrins lift off to a new horizon: In modern times, porphyrins, the well‐known colorful pigments, are being recognized as highly progressive biosensors in bioanalytical systems. The multitude of ways to fine‐tune porphyrin physicochemical properties can be used to attain the finest biorecognition performance in interdisciplinary modes ranging from intense color changes to electrochemical signaling systems.
