Zusammenfassung: | The cover feature shows disposable passive electrochemical microfluidic devices which were developed using a lamination technique for the diagnosis of congenital glycosylation disorders. The key assay steps were integrated on board with high reproducibility. It was possible to successfully discriminate between patients and healthy individuals by taking short analysis times with minimal analyst intervention and requiring low clinical sample volumes. These results suggest that these devices have potential as future tools at the point of patient care. The cover was drawn by Víctor de la Asunción and co‐designed with the authors. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Alberto Escarpa, Agustín G. Crevillén and co‐workers. |
