Zusammenfassung:Homogenous catalysis as long as it is needed: the advantages of homogeneous and heterogeneous metal catalysis can be combined by attachment of an alkaloid ligand to polyethyleneglycol methylmonoether. Diols with up to 99% ee have been obtained in the asymmetric Sharpless dihydroxylation of olefins with the polymer modified ligand 1 (DHQD = dihydroquinidine).
