The First Stibepine: Synthesis and Structure of Sb-Chlorobenzo[d]stibepine

The benzostibepine 1 is unexpectedly more stable than the analogous arsenic compound. It is formed from dibutylbenzostannepine and SbCl3 at 0 °C. The crystal structure investigation reveals a boatlike conformation of the seven‐membered ring and markedly alternating CC bond lengths, which precludes...

Zusammenfassung:The benzostibepine 1 is unexpectedly more stable than the analogous arsenic compound. It is formed from dibutylbenzostannepine and SbCl3 at 0 °C. The crystal structure investigation reveals a boatlike conformation of the seven‐membered ring and markedly alternating CC bond lengths, which precludes π conjugation. The Me and Bu derivatives can also be prepared from 1.
