Oxidation of the S2‐complex 1 to the S2O‐complex 2 can be achieved even with atmospheric oxygen. The pronounced acceptor character of the S2O ligand has been demonstrated for the first time in 2. The bonds in coordinated S2O are longer than those in free S2O.
