Ternary Rhenium Sulfides with [Re6S8]-Clusters
The first clusters to contain Re6 units are present in compounds (1) to (3). The six Re atoms form an octahedron with eight S atoms distributed over the faces. Other ternary sulfides of type AxMySz have chain or layer structures.
