Zusammenfassung: | In this paper, sensitivity tuning in thermochromic luminescence is demonstrated. A series of triphenylamine‐o‐carborane dyads with variable numbers of the methyl substituents were synthesized for the modulation of the height of the rotation barrier in the excited state. The modified carboranes showed dual emission in the solid state, and intensity ratios were correspondingly changed by cooling. As a result, it could be clearly demonstrated that one of the dyads was capable of being a molecular thermometer presenting luminescent color change. A mechanism is also illustrated in this study.
