of concentrations of 10–500 ng/ml had no adverse effects on intact, plasma‐suspended Hb SS erythrocytes. These Hb SS erythrocytes were examined for changes in morphology, potassium and calcium flux, and blood viscosity under oxygenated and hypoxic conditions. |
