Zusammenfassung:Self‐Plugging Microneedles In article number 2102599, Jeong Hun Kim, WonHyoung Ryu, Ali Khademhosseini, and co‐workers, develop self‐plugging microneedles (SPM) for intravitreal injection. Once injected, the end of the SPM is swollen to seal the incision due to intravitreal injection and the rest of the SPM delivers drugs for the desired duration. Unlike general intravitreal injections, the SPM doesn't need additional sealing procedures, so this manner lowers the possibility of infection and the cost of operation.
