Zusammenfassung: | Rotationally Multistable Metamaterials
In article number 2207581, Abdolhamid Akbarzadeh and Alireza Seyedkanani introduce a motif for rotational multistability by harnessing magnetic interactions between permanent magnets arranged in a circular formation as rotational magnet pairs. This scale‐independent concept is used to develop rotationally multistable metamaterials with tunable energy trapping characteristics and a novel fluid‐free rotary metadamper with periodic snap‐back induced energy dissipation that can find applications in rotational elements such as robot joints and rotor shafts. |
