The thesis gives an account of foreign land acquisitions in Tanzania. The thesis presents a generic picture of land acquisitions globally. It explains the root causes of foreign land acquisitions at global and national geographical level, before discussing local perspectives on Green Resources investments in village communitites in Tanzania. Finally, the thesis analyse winners and losers of the land acquisitions of Green Resources in Tanzania.
