Zusammenfassung: | In order to understand the realities of teaching and learning a third language (L3) in the bilingual Canadian context, our research investigates the needs of, and resources available to, international language teachers in the province of Ontario. Preliminary results gathered in 2009 and published in 2011 are now complemented with results collected in a 2010 replication of the survey and with a qualitative analysis of recorded individual and focus-group interviews. The preliminary descriptive data served as a basis for a better understanding of the Ontario International Language Program, and paved the way for the subsequent more extensive exploration of the field involving various Ontario regional school boards (or local education authorities). |
