Zusammenfassung:<正> The phase relations of the ternary system La-Ni-Si have been studied in combination with the research on the effect of Si on its substitution for LaNi5 components and on the hydrogen absorption properties. At the composition of 20 La, 40 Ni and 40 Si,at%, there exists a ternary intermetallic compound LaNi2Si2. The crystal structure of this intermetallics at room temperature phase has been determined by means of X-ray powder diffraction method.
