INTRODUCTION The development of alloys with improved magnetic properties, especially with high (BH)max value has up to the present been the main topic for research of magnet materials. Kaneko suggested that samples of Fe-Cr-Co alloy may be swaged after field treatment so that the precipitated particles from supersaturated solution would be elongated and aligned more perfectly. The magnetic values may be raised by this treatment, but the samples obtained by such process can only be in the form of small bars, and moreover, the process is too complex to be used for production in quantity. |
