Since 1954, a great deal of artificial tritium has been released by thermonuclear experiments, making the total volume of tritium in the world an increase of several orders in magnitude. Increment of tritium content in natural water has become an ideal tracer element in the investigation of water cycle and being widely applied to scientific fields, such as hydrology, meteorology, oceanology, environment science and so on.
