Additives in Molten Salt on Chemical Strengthening of Glass—A Short Review

Some additives existed in molten salt have an effect on the improvement of the mechanical properties of chemical strengthening glass. The classification and mechanism of additives were summarized in three different aspects, mainly including the removal of impurities of molten salt, improvement of reaction rate and prevention of the surface for further damage. In addition, recent developments of additives were discussed. The related problems were presented, and some additives in the future application were also proposed.
