Zusammenfassung:The mechanism of hexamethylenediamine (HMDA) and guanidine hydrochloride (GndC1) polycondensation is suggested. It represents transamination reaction and realizes as nueleophylic substitution mechanism. In support of suggested mechanism the new polymer is synthesized in melt of N, N'-diphenylguanidine hydrochloride (DPhGndC1) and HMDA. Guanidine containing polymers are synthesized through polycondensation of hexamethylenediamine (HMDA) and guanidine hydrochloride (GndCl) or N, N'-diphenylguanidine hydrochloride (DPhGndCI). Synthesis of hydrogels based on polyhexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride (PHMG) and polyhexamethylenediphenylguanidine hydrochloride (PHMPhGnd) are carried through the excess of hexamethylenediamine molar ratio, pH-sensitivity ofguanidine containing hydrogels are determined. The swelling index is determined with the help of laboratory ion meter I4-160MI4. Guanidine containing hydrogels may be used for site-specific controlled drug delivery.
