Zusammenfassung: | By using the interpretation of large-scale topographic maps, plot and trace of remote sensing images, textual criticism of historical geographical data, field investigation and description, and analysis and measurement of core samples, a research has been conducted on the reconversion, stage division and historical period division of the ancient channels within a buried depth of 50 m on the North China Plain. It has been found that ancient channels in this region are characterized by typical marks of fluvial facies deposition. The development level of ancient channels is strictly controlled by basement tectonics, and their formation and evolution are completely conditioned by geographic environment. Human activities have played an increasingly important role in channel changes and ancient channel formation. |
