Ⅰ. INTRODUCTIONBronze drum culture was well developed in China since more than 2500 years ago to 1828 A.D. Ancient drums are representatives of the historical culture of minority people living in southern China. The early drums, Wanjiaba and Shizhaishan types unearthed in Yunnan have been investigated by lead isotopes in this note. The scientific basis for the lead method was described in Refs.
