Effects of Anti-CD59 on Complement- induced Platelet Activation in Adult Males with Coronary Heart Disease

Objectives To study thereactions of platelet to active complement and the effects of anti-CD59 on platelet activation induced by complement in coronary heart disease (CHD) adultmales. Methods By applying cobra venom factor (CVF) to activate complement, observed the platelet aggregation and release reactions induced by active complement with or without applying anti- CD59 toblock the complement modulation protein CD59.Results CVF could induce platelet of CHD individuals release ATP and cause significant and lasting metamorphosis, but failed to induce platelet aggregate.The platelet maximum shape change showed positive linear correlation with lg concentration of CVF.
