SCO in Smooth Developmenl

The sixth summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization （SCO） was held on June 15 in Shanghai. It was not only a formal and decisive meeting of heads of SCO member states, but also a meeting of celebrating the fifth anniversary of the founding of SCO. In addition to the heads of states of the six formal members, leaders from four observer countries including India, Pakistan, Mongolia and Iran were also invited to attend the meeting. Given that Afghanistan has established a liaison team with the SCO, Afghanistan leaders also participated as guests. Leaders and representatives of other international organizations that have formal relations with the SCO, such as the United Nations, ASEAN, CIS and the European Union, were also invited. The meeting summarized its achievements and experiences over the past five years and laid out plans for future cooperation. It was deemed as a grand gathering of solidarity and with pragmatism,which linked the past with the future. The summit marked good momentum of smooth development ot the SCO.
