Zusammenfassung:Based on the well-preserved several hundred sites of the Han-Wei period in the Three Rivers Plain and in the light of the developmental tendency of world archaeology, the Heilongjiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology worked out in 1998 the “Plan of Settlement Archaeology of Han-Wei Sites in the Qixing River Valley.” This is a scientific research project with archaeology as the main means combined with history, anthropology, geography, geology, zoology, botany, etc. The plan consists of field archaeology, environmental archaeology, and aerial and remote sensing archaeology, and is carried out jointly by the HPICRA, Institute of Archaeology, CASS, Museum of Chinese History, and Shuangyashan Municipal Station for the Preservation of Ancient Monuments. Its implementation was started in 1998 and has brought in inspiring achievements.
